| Our company was
founded by Bob Ruckriegel and his wife Lovella in 1964 with the opening
of Jerry’s Restaurant in Jasper, Indiana. The tremendous success of this
venture led to the establishment of our company as a leader in the
restaurant industry with operations in the states of Indiana, Kentucky,
Michigan and Illinois.
In 1969, when the fast food concept was in its infancy, our company took advantage of the opportunity to become a Long John Silver’s franchisee. With 97 units currently in operation, BR Associates is the largest Long John Silver’s franchisee in the nation. In 1976, a Wendy’s Old-Fashioned Hamburgers franchise was acquired while continuing a steady growth pattern in our other divisions. A Grandy’s chicken franchise was acquired in 1981 with restaurant facilities as well as a catering service. in 1991, we expanded our full service line with the acquisition of a Denny’s franchise. In addition, our company operates an eight screen movie theater in Jasper, IN. Today, BR Associates owns and operates 14 full service coffee shop units as well as 140 quick service restaurants. We firmly believe our commitment to operations excellence will continue to serve as the basic foundation for our future success. |
